Two men accused of shooting at police in Portland

Two men who opened fire at police on Thursday were arrested on gun and other charges, according to the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.

The incident began around 7:30 p.m. in the area of 10th and Oregon streets, the district attorney’s office said in a statement.

A total of eight people were shot and one person was taken to a hospital.

Two of the people who were shot were taken to the hospital in critical condition, but the third was treated and released.

Three people were arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a dangerous weapon and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.

One of the three was taken into custody, while the other two were released on their own recognizance, the statement said.

The other two who were arrested have not yet been charged.
